I’m am very pleased to introduce you to my new characters Axolotl and Tuatara. The next month or two of content here on WalkaboutEm.com will be my newest project, the comic Axolotl and Tuatara, a humorous approach to ecology and evolutionary biology.

As a random aside to those of you with Kompan climbers in your local tot lots, Zev has pointed out to me that some of the decorations on them are “Golgi shapes”. The kids here have agreed and elaborated that the little dots are mitochondria, and those round holes are nuclei. Let the cellular biology games ensue…
